The city of Bailén has seen a number of battles that played a decisive role in the history of Spain. Christian and Muslim kingdoms squared off against each other at the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa near Bailén in 1212, and in 1808 the Battle of Bailén proved that Napoleon’s troops were not invincible.
Picualia will guide you through a unique experience where you’ll get to know the battlefields, learn how the battle took place and see its consequences. It’s an unforgettable tour through what is now a sea of olive trees. The same olive trees that produce the fine oil that goes into only the best dishes, which you will try.
